Your videos never leave your device. Compresssor reads and compresses your videos entirely on your phone. No video, thumbnail, or frame is ever uploaded to us or anyone else. There is no account and no sign-in.
What the app accesses on your device
Your photo & video library — to find videos larger than your chosen resolution, compress them, and save the smaller copies back. This happens on-device; nothing is transmitted.
Location metadata inside your videos — read only so the compressed copy keeps the same GPS location the original had. It is copied from one file to another on your device and never sent anywhere.
What we collect
To find and fix bugs, the app uses two Google Firebase services. Neither collects your name, email, contacts, or the content of your videos.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) — if the app crashes, an anonymous diagnostic report (device model, OS version, and the technical stack trace) is sent so we can fix it. Disabled in development builds.
Anonymous usage analytics (Firebase Analytics) — aggregate counters such as "a compression run started", how many videos were in it, and roughly how much space was freed. These carry no personal information and are used only to understand which features are worth improving.
Purchases
The optional one-time Compresssor Pro upgrade is processed by Apple or Google. We never see or store your payment details; your purchase is tied to your App Store or Google account and can be restored there.
Data we do not collect
Your videos, photos, or any of their content.
Your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
Advertising identifiers — the app shows no ads and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Children
Compresssor is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
Your choices
You can revoke photo-library or location access at any time in your device's Settings. You can delete all collected diagnostic data by uninstalling the app. Analytics and crash collection can also be reset by clearing the app's data.
